POP MONTREAL 2009

Pop montreal es un festival de musica y arte. Fundada en el 2002 por Daniel Seligman, Noelle Sorbara y Peter Rowan.
El festival dura 5 dias, por lo general se hace a finales septiembre princpios octubre, este año sera del 30 de septiembre al 4 de octubre.

Cada año se presentan mas de 400 artistas. El festival incluye: discusiones de simposio, exposiciones de artes visuales, fashion shows, cortometrajes, y obviamente fiestas que duran toda la noche.

Un evento para : musicos, artistas, fans, criticos, y para los de las disqueras.

El line up para este año aun no ha sido publicado, pero en festivales pasados han estado bandas como: The Walkmen, Stars, Blonde Redhead, Arthur H, Interpol, The Dears, Broken Social Scene, Vulgaires Machins, Les Breastfeeders, Amon Tobin, The Constantines, Yann Perreau, Hot Hot Heat, Martha Wainwright, The Arcade Fire, Malajube, Metric, Chromeo, The Distillers, Tiga, Franz Ferdinand, We Are Wolves, Kings of Leon, Lovely feathers, Anthony and the johnsons, Architecture in Helsinki, You Say Party We Say Die!, Regina Spector, Beach House, A-Trak, The National, Caribou, Vivian girls, Brazilian Girls, Ratatat, MSTRKRFT, The Virgins, The Dodos, Dr.Dog .

Si sigo jamas terminaria la lista de todos los artistas y bandas chidas que han estado en este Festival! , espero pronto poder tener el line up de este año que seguro debe de estar increible.

Introspectiva

Según wikipedia la introspección o inspección interna es el conocimiento que el sujeto tiene de sus propios estados mentales.

Este fin de semana estuvo lleno de eso... al menos para mí. Que fuerte !

Mejor les platico de esta exposición: Serigrafías y Gráfica Cubana

Con el triunfo de la Revolución Cubana, el cine nacional experimentó un notable desarrollo que lo convirtió, en muy poco tiempo, en uno de los más destacados del continente, influenciado tanto por el neorrealismo italiano como por las recientes nuevas olas, se planteaba a la vez como forma de expresión artística, entretenimiento y medio de información y educación: largometrajes de ficción, películas documentales, noticieros, cortos animados.

Las serigrafías de los diseñadores cubanos se tornaron audaces y polémicas, partiendo de elementos abstractos, simbólicos, figurativos, a partir de los cuales se proponía una renovación de los códigos tradicionales de la comunicación visual.

Entre mis cartelistas cubanos favoritos encontramos a René Azcuy y Antonio Perez Ñiko.
